Yes, it’s made with natural ingredients and contains no synthetic additives or added fragrance. However, as with any product, if you notice irritation, stop using it straight away.
No — all Go-Coco products are fragrance free. We know some people enjoy scented laundry, so if you’d like a fragrance boost, you can add a few drops of essential oil to your wash. Just make sure the oil is safe for skin contact by checking with your supplier.
If you’d like to add a light, natural fragrance to your laundry, try using essential oils with white vinegar as a fabric rinse. Simply mix your chosen essential oil (around 10–15 drops) into 125 ml of white vinegar, then pour it directly into the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine before starting the cycle. The vinegar helps to soften fabrics and remove any soap residue, while carrying a subtle hint of scent.
A few tips and cautions:
Always add essential oils to the vinegar first, not directly to clothes or the drum, as undiluted oils may cause staining on fabrics.
Test on light-coloured fabrics if using deeply pigmented oils (like patchouli or orange).
The scent after washing will be light and fresh, not overpowering, as most of the essential oil disperses during the rinse.
Avoid adding essential oils to the detergent drawer with the powder — they don’t mix well with water and may reduce cleaning efficiency.
Start by soaking the fabric in cold water, then treat the stain. Heat can set stains, making them harder to remove, so it’s best to avoid hot water at first.
Both can be effective. For stubborn stains, grate a little of the stain remover bar into warm water and soak the fabric. Alternatively, dissolve the natural bleach in hot water to activate it, then soak the item. Always check your fabric care label first and test on a hidden area to make sure the fabric is colourfast and safe. When mixed in warm water, the natural bleach remains active for around 6 hours, so refresh the solution if a longer soak is needed.
Dilute the natural bleach in warm water, soak your whites, and then wash as usual.
This is more common in areas with hard water. To help, mix the powder with a small amount of warm water before pouring it into the dispenser drawer.
Yes, that works fine. Just make sure you don’t overload the machine. Clothes need space to move freely so the powder can dissolve and distribute properly.
No fabric softener is needed — Go-Coco Laundry Powder cleans gently yet effectively, leaving clothes soft and residue-free on its own. Traditional fabric softeners often contain synthetic fragrances and coating agents that can build up on fabrics and reduce absorbency, especially in towels and natural fibres.
If you prefer an extra-soft feel, you can use white vinegar as a natural alternative. Add around 125 ml of white vinegar to the fabric softener compartment before starting your wash. It helps to neutralise detergent residues and naturally soften fibres. You can also add a few drops of essential oil to the vinegar if you’d like a light, natural fragrance.
Note: Don’t pour vinegar or essential oils directly onto clothes, as undiluted oils may cause staining and vinegar can weaken elastic fibres if used in excess.
Go-Coco Laundry Powder is 100% natural and free from synthetic detergents, optical brighteners, or artificial fragrances. Each ingredient is carefully chosen for its specific role in cleaning effectively while staying gentle on skin and the environment:
Coconut Soap (Sodium Cocoate): The main cleaning agent made from 100% coconut oil. It lifts away dirt and grease naturally.
Sodium Carbonate (Washing Soda): A mineral-based water softener that helps the soap work better, especially in hard water.
Sodium Percarbonate: A natural oxygen bleach that brightens whites and helps remove stains without harsh chemicals.
Sodium Gluconate: A plant-derived ingredient that binds to minerals in the water, preventing residue and keeping fabrics soft.
Together, these ingredients make the powder effective, biodegradable, and naturally fresh — no synthetic additives needed.
